Roles & Permissions

Full system access. There is one admin token. Admins can do everything the Rosters role can do, plus:

• Create, list, and revoke access tokens for other members

The league's senior access level — everything the Rosters and Curator roles can do, plus early access to award results before they're publicly revealed.

• Everything the Curator role can do — including newsroom editorial powers
• Preview unrevealed award season results (other members see a "not released yet" message)

Manages all roster and contract operations across the league.

• Record transactions — free agency signings, draft picks, option decisions
• Edit any team's active roster (players, OVR ratings)
• Edit any team's draft pick ownership, protections, and swap rights
• Edit player bio data — salary, cap holds, contract type, personal info
• Add new players to the player database
• Delete transaction records from the log
• Delete draft pick rows

For members who maintain player data and run the newsroom, but do not handle contracts.

• Edit OVR ratings (current and history) for any player
• Edit non-contract player bio fields — name, positions, DOB, college, country, draft info, photo, height, weight, wingspan, jersey number
• Newsroom editor: publish, unpublish, or reject any member's article and manage the submission queue

Curators cannot record transactions, edit contracts or salaries, edit rosters or picks, or add new players.

For members who enter game data and maintain the stats database.

• Access the Box Score Import tool to parse and commit game box scores from screenshots

Stats does not grant roster editing, transaction recording, or player bio access.

Manages the NBN Bets system.

• Create new bets (pool and fixed-odds) via the pre-canned wizard or custom form
• Lock open bets to close wagering
• Set outcomes and close bets, triggering automatic payouts
• Delete bets with no wagers placed

Does not grant roster editing, transaction recording, or any other league admin access.

For members who broadcast league games. Claims are made on Stream and are public the moment they land — everyone sees who is streaming what on the Calendar, signed in or not.

• Claim any upcoming game that nobody has claimed yet, as its streamer
• Drop your own claim, at any time
• Flag any upcoming game as a stream, or clear that flag — independent of who (if anyone) is claimed as its streamer

One streamer per game — a game someone already holds offers no claim button, and going at it directly gets an error naming who has it. A streamer can only ever claim under their own name; the endpoint takes no member argument, so the role cannot sign anyone else up, which is why it needs no board standing behind it. Dropping someone else's claim is a BOD action. The stream flag has no holder concept, so any streamer can set or clear it on any game. Grants nothing beyond this.

Reviews and ballots on team-submitted free-agent offers at pdc.nbn.today (§ 4.6 / § 4.7). Assigned per player, not standing.

• FAC — vote on the sub-committee ballots you're assigned to; never waved through by admin, since a ballot is a vote, not an administrative action
• FAC_HEAD — everything FAC can do, plus: assign reviewers, remand/void/restore offers, control FFA windows, finalize results

FAC_HEAD implies FAC and Agent (below) — the fallback that keeps the process from deadlocking if every agent is conflicted out of a negotiation.

Represents the player's side, not either committee's — the same person acts as agent whether a player is heading to free agency or negotiating a contract extension.

• Claim a free agent, or an extension-eligible player, off the shared queue — no per-player assignment, first come
• Negotiate the claimed player's offers or extension terms down to a final set
• Advance a contested case to a sub-committee ballot, or finalize an uncontested one outright

Claiming a player permanently blocks the agent's own team from bidding on or extending them — the one hard rule in an otherwise advisory role, and why releasing a claim is safe to allow. Free agency and extension claims are tracked separately even for the same player; claiming one side never blocks the other.

The § 6.2 / § 6.3 contract-extension equivalent of the Free Agency Committee. Reviews and ballots on team-submitted extension proposals at pdc.nbn.today, plus the team-facing proposal page at /extensions — see docs/poext-extension-pipeline.md.

• POEXT — vote on the sub-committee ballots you're assigned to; same review-and-decide shape as FAC, on extension proposals rather than FA offers
• POEXT_HEAD — everything POEXT can do, plus: assign reviewers, remand/void/restore proposals, finalize results

POEXT_HEAD implies POEXT and Agent, same fallback reasoning as FAC_HEAD.

One role per NBA franchise. Assigned to a team's front office members.

• Update that team's trade block — add, remove, or annotate players available for trade
• Assign jersey numbers for players on that team's roster

Team roles do not grant roster editing access. Members who also manage contracts need the Rosters role separately.
